Saint Joseph the Carpenter School’s Core Values
All children deserve a safe and nurturing learning environment that values and respects individual differences, social-emotional awareness, and cultural diversity.
Education must focus on the whole child to foster the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social development of our children based on strong Christian values.
All children are unique learners who vary in their learning styles and pacing, It is the role of educators to provide diverse and authentic learning experiences to meet the needs of each child.
As educators, our role is to encourage our students to discover, play, explore and develop their God given talents and gifts.
As educators, we share with parents the role of building our students’ self-esteem and dignity by encouraging creativity, curiosity, and the academi, social, spiritual, and emotional independence that help students develop into life-long learners.
Learning is most effective when administrators, teachers, and parents work together to provide academic opportunities and spiritual experiences for our children.
We aspire to foster our students’ sense of personal responsibility and values through restorative practices of empathy and forgiveness. Socially responsible students are armed with the ability to think critically, problem solve, and work collaboratively with others.
Schools must provide a continuously evolving curriculum that integrates technology and prepares students to responsibly use technology to succeed in a competitive and digital society.
Catholic Identity
St. Joseph the Carpenter School has a strong Catholic Identity which is expressed through its core values. Our beliefs define our traditions, academics, and our lives within our school community and beyond.
Each student is considered a child of God. Our community is Christ-centered. We pray together daily, study scripture and participate in the liturgical life of the church. We rejoice in the special days of our faith and of our school.
Throughout the year our school practices stewardship within our local community. From collecting food for those in need, to gathering baby supplies for new mothers to donate to Mercy House, assembling blessing bags to support our local emergency personnel, we strive to live Jesus’ teaching of “loving your neighbor as yourself”.
At St Joseph the Carpenter School we endeavor to instill a sense of responsibility, respect, and service to others in all of our students. It is our goal to produce faith filled individuals that will be involved in their communities and to think beyond themselves.
